The guest enters the apartment thanks to the self check-in

Add a reservation on the Vikey portal, then your guest will complete the online check-in and send you everything you need for their identification. Thanks to the Vikey App your guest will be able to open independently during the entire period of stay.

The guest completes the online check-in
Before arriving at the apartment, the guest completes the online check-in process by sending you all the documents, payments and signed contracts necessary for the stay. You can also ask the guest to send a photo with his/her own document, to facilitate identification. Once the online check-in is completed the guest will receive an email with his/her personal reservation code necessary for the self check-in.

The guest uses the Vikey Web App
By inserting his/her personal reservation code in the Vikey Web App the guest can open the building door independently by pressing "Open Building Door" and the apartment door by pressing "Open Door". The reservation code acts as a temporary key, allowing the guest to open both doors through the App during his/her stay.

The guest enters
The guest enters both the building and apartment in complete autonomy without any support from the host. Thanks to the self check-in your guest has the keys before even arriving!

The host opens the building and apartment doors via the App

Once your guest arrives, he/she will inform you and by opening the Vikey App on your phone you will be able to open the building door by clicking on "Open Building Door" and the apartment door by clicking "Open Door".

Your guest will inform you of his/her arrival by calling you or sending you a text message.

You will open the Vikey App
Through the Vikey App you will be able to open all doors for your guest by clicking on "Open Building Door" to open the building door and on "Open Door" to open the apartment door.

Your guest will be able to enter the building and your apartment without any delays.

The host opens the building and apartment doors by phone call

Guests reach your building and buzz your intercom. Thanks to Vikey you will immediately receive a phone call directly on your mobile phone/landline. You can then comunicate with them and open the building and apartment doors by pressing 5 and 8 respectively on your numeric keypad.

The guest rings the intercom
Once your guest has arrived at your building he/she will ring the building intercom.

You will receive a call on your mobile phone or landline
Vikey intercepts the intercom signal and you (Host) will receive a GSM call on your mobile phone or landline. You will be able to communicate with the guest wherever you are, while the guest speaks through the intercom. After identifying the guest, you can open the building door and the apartment door with keys 5 and 8 respectively on the numeric keypad of your phone.

The guest enters the apartment
The guest can then enter the building and your apartment, without ever using his/her phone.

Does this mean you won’t meet your guests anymore?
No!

You can enable self check-in and let your guests enter the apartment in full autonomy and  meet them in person later.
For example, you can only use Vikey in the event of an emergency such as:
✓ late guests
✓ late check-in
✓ last minute bookings
✓ check-in staff who are late
✓ guests who forget or lose their keys
All of this just for the cost of 1 check-in per month!

Vikey does not require building permits!

As Vikey is installed completely inside your apartment it does not require any building permits.
