No problem, Vikey is installed inside your apartment and does not require building permits.
Most guests from Italy and Europe will have 3G thanks to the new European Free Roaming law (approved by the European Commission on April 7th 2017). Guests coming from overseas will instead have to use the standard check-in by buzzing the apartment intercom followed by mobile door opening. Everything will be explained to the guests in a recap email.
The cost to install a Vikey system is €150 if completed by our technicians. Every client is however free to install the Vikey system on their own or with a trusted technician at zero cost using our installation manual and receiving telephone support by one of our technicians if needed.
The monthly subscription cost for non-business clients is €29,90 per month per apartment. This includes our 24/7 monitoring service of your Vikey, immediate notification in case of malfunction (the power may have been switched off or there might be a Wi-Fi connection mishap), and free assistance throughout the entire duration of the contract.

Once we have received photos of your intercom or carried out an inspection, we will install all the components within a week (depending on the number of requests).
In order to operate the service requires 2 components: the Vikey and the electric strike.
The Vikey is a small box (control unit) applied inside your apartment next to the handset of your intercom, which intercepts its signal and send a call to your mobile whenever your guest buzzes the intercom. The call is activated through Wi-Fi, so yes, you will need to have working Wi-Fi, but the calls that you will actually receive will be real GSM calls.
The second element, the electric strike is required to open the door to the apartment in the same way the building door is opened. This electric strike is installed within the door jamb (the part of the door that is attached to the wall/does not move) and does not require to change the lock and the keys of the apartment.
